Refund Policy

Writer Web subscriptions and Extra AI are sold by our reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for those orders. Refunds are paid by Paddle to your original payment method. To ask for one, write to contact@novelstarter.com from your account email, or reply to your Paddle receipt.

Writer Web subscription

• Your first payment: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days, as long as you have used no more than 20% of that month's AI allowance. The share you have used is shown in Settings → AI. Above 20%, the AI has been consumed and the first payment is not refundable.
• Renewals are not refundable. Cancel before your renewal date and you won't be charged again; you keep AI until the end of the period you already paid for, and your account then continues on the free plan with all your stories.
• If we charged you by mistake, or you couldn't use Writer Web because of a problem on our side, we'll refund you.

Extra AI

You can ask for a refund of an Extra AI purchase within 14 days, as long as none of the extra AI it added has been used.

Outlines and worlds

Outlines and worlds are one-of-one digital files, sold and delivered through Payhip. Because each piece leaves the catalogue for good once it is bought, they are not refundable after download, except where the law requires otherwise or the file is faulty — in that case write to us and we'll put it right.

Your legal rights

This policy doesn't limit any right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live, including a statutory right of withdrawal where it applies.
